Sections allow you to divide a level into distinct areas, each with its own theme, music, and properties. The editor supports one default section (the main section) and any number of additional sections.

Accessing the Sections Editor

Press EscapeLevel PropertiesSections, or press Z directly.

Section Structure

Every level has:
  • Main Section — The default section (LevelSectionIdentifier.Default). Cannot be deleted or renamed. Always exists.
  • Additional Sections — Custom sections with unique names. Can be created, edited, and deleted.
Each section maintains:
  • Its own block grid (BlockNet)
  • Its own ball list
  • Its own enemy list
  • Its own theme model
  • Its own music track
  • Its own dark mode and skybox grid settings
  • Its own lava pool configuration

Creating a Section

  1. Open the Sections Editor
  2. Press Create
  3. Enter a unique section name (alphanumeric and underscores only)
  4. Press Create to confirm
The new section is created with the main section’s theme and music as defaults. It automatically becomes the active section.

Switching Sections

Click on a section in the list to switch to it. The editor reloads to show only the blocks, items, and elements belonging to that section.
When you switch sections, the editor rebuilds the viewport to display only the blocks belonging to the selected section. Blocks from other sections are hidden.

Deleting a Section

  1. Select the section to delete
  2. Press Delete
  3. Confirm in the popup
The main section cannot be deleted. Deleting a section removes all its blocks, items, enemies, and balls.

Section Properties

Each section has its own set of properties accessible from the Sections Editor panel:
  • Theme — Visual theme for this section
  • Music — Background music track
  • Dark Mode — Toggle dark lighting mode
  • Skybox Grid — Show grid overlay on the skybox
  • Lava Pool — Configure lava behavior
See Section Properties for detailed configuration.

Multi-Section Workflow

A typical multi-section level might use:
  • Main Section — The starting area with a forest theme
  • Cave Section — An underground area with a cave theme and dark mode
  • Boss Section — A final arena with dramatic music
Sections can be connected using teleport elements or scripted transitions.
